The entire Master Meter family is saddened to announce the passing this week of Jean-Claude Lauret, our esteemed and greatly valued friend who oversaw our Master Meter Canada, Inc. operations as its Managing Director and Vice President.
July 30, 2018, Jean-Claude succumbed to his battle with lung cancer after a late-stage diagnosis, passing away at the age of 68 years old. He is survived by his wife Mrs. France Mailhot, and children Jean-Philippe Lauret and Pierre-Olivier Lauret, extended family, friends, and coworkers.
Jean-Claude was an incredibly dedicated professional who loved the thrill of the hunt for sales and took great pride in winning with all aspects of his life. His boundless energy was addicting as much as it was an inspiration – his drive and dedication outmatched colleagues half of his age. Lengthy business dinners with Jean-Claude were always punctuated with words of admiration and love for his wife and sons.
Even in his last days marked by a questionable outcome, Jean-Claude projected confidence and excitement for the future, spoke of growth plans for our Canadian operation, and was determined to leave the hospital and get back to work.
Jean-Claude was a fine example for all of us in how to live life and approach the challenges that it often presents.
You will be missed by all that knew you Jean-Claude.
