See you in Denver
We will be at ACE 2019 in Denver (“Innovating The Future Of Water”) from June 9-12. Here’s a sneak peek at what we’ve got in store for you when you stop by and see us:
“Just Ask Alexa”
This is a new technology we’ve rolled out for simplified engagement with both the My Water Advisor app and utility-level consumption data. We’ve been thinking more and more recently about this idea of “infobesity,” i.e. information overload. We’re constantly bombarded by information all day, and the path through all that noise is a simplification of product. That’s where “Just Ask Alexa” springs from. We’ll have it at our booth in an interactive kiosk.
Here are some of the questions or ideas you can “Just Ask Alexa:”
- How much do I owe so far this month?
- Why is my water bill so high?
- Did I have any leaks in the last 30 days?
- How do I compare to my neighbors?
- What will my estimated water bill be this month?
- Can you email me my latest consumption report?
Harmony Encore
ACE commands the arrival of some hot new stuff, and we worked tirelessly this year on upgrading Harmony. We considered Harmony best-in-class, and we consider Harmony Encore — which we’ll be rolling out in Denver — to be world-class. We re-imagined Harmony with better user experience in mind and Encore was built. It still is compatible with almost every AMI on the market, of course. We also redesigned both portal and app for My Water Advisor.
Solid-State Measurement
We’ve increasingly had inquires about our solid-state measurement product portfolio, driven by the Sonata Residential Ultrasonic Meter, and a great reason to come by the booth is demo and discussion in this space.
Back To That Information Overload Concept
The path to truly smart water solutions can seem very complex and overburdened with tasks, confusing portals, and more. It’s the opposite of simplicity, often, even though we’re surrounded by technology and data points. In fact, this image appeared on social media recently:
Coming out of Denver this year, our goal is to offer simplified solutions to put your data and your customer’s data front-and-center in easy-to-discover, easy-to-use ways. Who needs more complexity in their life? And who needs it in their utilities?
Catalyst
After Denver, we’ll be headed to Catalyst in San Antonio, where we’re excited to be a collaborator level sponsor at a conference designed around communication and storytelling for utilities and put on by our good friends at Rogue Water. In our next blog, we’ll talk a bit more about the state of comms in water and why Catalyst is such an important conference — and look out in late June for a recap of both ACE 2019 and Catalyst. (We love to help people reduce cost, but we also love to help them learn what’s happening in-industry.)
