We are incredibly excited to launch our new website. We built it with you, our customers, in mind. We hope that the new format will make it easier to find the information that you need. The new year is right around the corner and we’re kicking off 2018 with a new mindset. We want Master Meter, Inc. to be the go-to partner for our customers, the water utilities we serve.
We recognize the cost to do business as a utility is a fine balancing act. The challenge is navigating the line between the fixed costs you have little to no control over with a variable revenue stream tied to consumption. Sometimes meeting the need of growing communities and the cost of replacing aging infrastructure means that rates need to increase–something ratepayers are rarely keen on. Gaining public buy-in is key to meeting the infrastructure needs of our industry, and effectively communicating with your customers is vital to earning that trust. We understand the complexity you face in having to communicate with not only city management and council, but also your employees and, most importantly, your ratepayers.
Master Meter wants to be a resource for you and help you meet those communication challenges head on. Our New Year’s resolution is to add value to our industry; for our customers and, in turn, your customers, whose lives are directly tied to our product every day.
We hope to do this through the content we provide on our website, our blog, and our social media channels. Whether it’s providing information or data to present to management to defend a budget item, implement a new program, or train new employees–we want to be the subject matter expert in your corner. We also plan to develop material that can be easily utilized by your communication and education staff to share with your residents to help them understand the shift in technology taking place right outside their doorstep.
Our first tangible deliverable to this promise is our brand new e-book: The Essential Guide to Financing Smart Water Projects. This guide contains various tips and case studies to help utilities in a variety of areas including: water finance fundamentals, partnerships and innovative approaches to financing and project delivery, investing in smart water infrastructure. We also touch on the benefits, challenges and misconceptions of financing and implementing smart water projects.
While we have plans of our own regarding content development, we recognize the best solutions are those that meet an established need. Your input and feedback is critical to ensure we’re providing content that adds value to your organization. No one knows your utility or customers better than you. Please reach out to us through our website or social media and let us know what content would be of most value to you. We’d also love to hear feedback on the e-book as well. We look forward to partnering with you on all things meters and water technology.
